Back Roads of The Catalan Pyrenees 4 Cardona to El Pont De Suert

By Duncan Gough

Book 4 completes the Catalan Pyrenees series that provide a grand tour of this beautiful mountainous region. Researched by motorbike, it is a personal and practical guide for almost any means of transport.
With Duncan’s trademark sketches, hand-drawn maps and personal anecdotes, this book will whet your appetite as well as guide you to your own adventure. As always Duncan includes detours to interesting places he has happened upon, sketched and learnt about.
Duncan has been travelling in Spain and Portugal since the early ‘80s. From 2000 most often solo on a motorbike. What started as an annual week long beak from work in Film and Theatre, grew into a pilgrimage
that still continues. Following his desire to explore new back roads and hidden villages, he meets local people and strikes up lasting friendships that transcend language and culture. His first book ‘Back Roads of Spain’ was self-published through Matador in 2010. Its readers frequently contacted Duncan to ask questions about travelling in Spain and so when his mother died and left him some money he decided to work as a full-time writer, starting with publishing a series of guidebooks to Iberia. He has now published eight guidebooks and 4 other related books.
